Bad News and Good News for MSU at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials. First the bad news: Shot Putter Steve Manz just missed making the finals on opening day. The good news: current Spartan Nicole Bush won her heat in the 3000m Steeplechase, putting her into the finals on Thursday. There, she'll need to finish in the top 3 and run under 9:46.00 (very possible, her best time's about 9:49) to make the Olympic team.
